| This is my IKWIG Tour guide. It will take you to all the locations in IKWIG and then a few extra ones as well. | This is a map with "stick-pins" to give an idea of the layout between locations. Although nearly all interior shots in the film were re-created back at Denham studios in London the exterior locations are astonishing! | If you have Autoroute this is the file I used to track the route. You can download this file for more manipulation on a PC. | Nancy Franklin was my inspiration, in Mark Cousins' short extra (I know where I'm Going! Revisited) on the IKWIG DVD (see below left), to actually go to Mull. This is Nancy's own photo of her self at Moy Castle. I do recommend visiting the island - it might just change your life too. |
The famouse red phone box at Carsaig is now safe! (No. +44 (0)1681-704203) It was in danger of being removed due to lack of use (understandable) as only IKWIG’rs and lost hikers ever use it. Robert (I'm an academic) Beveridge, the globe-trotting, supreme organiser and old romantic has quietly moved mountains and managed to secured a listed building status on our phone box. |

The writer is Sebastian Baczkiewicz. When Joan Webster is stranded on the island of Mull, she is persuaded to stay with Catriona Potts, a penniless, dog-loving owner of a large house whose husband is away in the War. When Joan stubbornly insists upon heading out to sea towards a marriage of convenience in the boat of a young local fisherman, listeners are left to follow Catriona and local girl Bridie's tense wait as the boat heads for a dangerous whirlpool.
